Terms of Service
Last Updated: 2025-02-16
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using ChessQuant (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you (e.g., by posting a notice on our site). Your continued use after changes signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
ChessQuant provides chess analytics and insights. It may fetch publicly available chess game data from third-party platforms. We endeavor to keep the Service accessible and accurate, but as this is an evolving application, functionality may change without notice. Please note that ChessQuant is currently in a private beta, and not all users will have immediate access to the Service.
3. User Accounts & Waitlist
We do not require a separate registration process. By signing in with Google or any other supported provider, you may automatically create an account (if one does not exist) and log in to the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
If your email address is not on our pre-approved list for private beta access, you may be placed on a waitlist. We will notify you if and when you are granted access to the Service.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Service, for example by attempting to interfere with its normal operation or by accessing it using methods other than the provided interfaces. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
All rights to the ChessQuant name, logo, and underlying software belong to us or our licensors. You retain ownership of any content you upload or submit, but grant us a non-exclusive license to process it as necessary to provide the Service.
6. Warranties and Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations. We are not responsible for any losses that may result from your use of or inability to use the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChessQuant and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) to use the Service.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we find your usage patterns disruptive or if we discontinue the Service. We may also use a waitlist to limit access during our private beta. Where possible, we will strive to notify you in advance if we decide to revoke or limit your access.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, excluding conflict of law principles. Any disputes must be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
